Free On-Site Estimates

Branch Specialists provides free, no-obligation on-site estimates for all standard tree service projects. Estimates are based on a physical assessment of the property, tree conditions, access routes, rigging requirements, and project scope. Verbal estimates are not binding; written estimates provided by our team constitute our formal pricing.

Estimate Validity

Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Pricing may be adjusted if site conditions change materially between the estimate date and the scheduled service date.

Scheduling

Work is scheduled based on crew availability, equipment requirements, weather conditions, and project priority. Emergency and hazard-priority jobs are dispatched ahead of standard scheduling. We will make reasonable efforts to honor scheduled dates; however, weather, equipment issues, or emergency calls may require rescheduling.

Scope Changes and Additional Work

If hidden hazards, unexpected structural conditions, additional debris, underground utilities, or unforeseen site challenges are discovered during a project, our team will discuss any necessary scope changes and updated pricing with the customer before proceeding. We do not perform out-of-scope work without customer acknowledgment.

By scheduling services with Branch Specialists, customers agree to the following responsibilities:

• Provide accurate property address, contact information, and site access details at the time of scheduling
• Disclose the location of underground utilities, septic systems, irrigation lines, drain fields, buried fuel lines, or other subsurface infrastructure prior to work commencing
• Disclose the presence of hidden hazards including buried debris, old foundations, underground tanks, or unmarked property lines
• Ensure pets, children, and all non-crew personnel remain clear of active work zones throughout the project duration
• Provide safe, reasonable vehicle and equipment access to the worksite, including clearing driveways, unlocking gates, and moving vehicles as needed
• Notify Branch Specialists of applicable HOA restrictions, permit requirements, easement limitations, municipal right-of-way rules, or deed restrictions that may affect the scope or method of work
• Notify us of any prior tree service, chemical treatment, or utility work performed on the property that may affect tree stability or site conditions

Branch Specialists believes in honest, transparent pricing with no hidden fees.

• Estimates First: Written estimates are provided before any work begins. No work commences without customer review and approval of the proposed scope and pricing.
• Payment Due Upon Completion: Payment in full is due upon satisfactory project completion unless a separate written payment agreement has been established in advance.
• Deposits: A deposit may be required for large-scale projects, specialty equipment scheduling (including crane operations), multi-day jobs, or commercial contracts. Deposit terms will be stated in the written estimate.
• Accepted Payment Methods: We accept cash, check, major credit cards, and electronic payment methods. Specific payment options will be confirmed at the time of scheduling.
• Late Payments: Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate permitted under New York State law, whichever is less. Branch Specialists reserves the right to pursue collection action for unpaid invoices.
• Disputed Invoices: Customers who dispute an invoice must notify Branch Specialists in writing within 7 days of invoice receipt. Undisputed portions of invoices remain payable by their due date.

• Standard Jobs: Customers are encouraged to provide at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests on standard tree service projects.
• Specialty Equipment Jobs: Projects requiring crane rental, specialty lift equipment, or reserved crew blocks may be subject to a cancellation fee if canceled with less than 72 hours' notice. Fees will not exceed the cost of non-recoverable equipment reservation charges.
• Emergency Services: Emergency dispatch calls that are canceled after crew mobilization may incur a partial service charge reflecting crew time and travel.
• Weather Delays: Branch Specialists reserves the right to reschedule work at any time due to unsafe weather conditions, frozen ground, high winds, lightning, heavy snow, or other safety-related conditions. No cancellation fee is charged for weather-related rescheduling initiated by Branch Specialists.
• Customer-Initiated Weather Cancellations: Customers who wish to reschedule due to personal weather concerns should notify us as early as possible. Rescheduling is accommodated based on availability.

Industry-Standard Precautions

Branch Specialists takes all reasonable, industry-standard precautions to protect your property during service operations. This includes the use of high-density ground protection mats, precision rigging systems, controlled sectional dismantling, and thorough site cleanup upon project completion.

Hidden and Pre-Existing Conditions

Branch Specialists is not responsible for property damage arising from conditions that were not disclosed prior to service and were not reasonably discoverable through visual inspection, including:

• Hidden decay, internal cavities, or fungal rot not visible from the exterior
• Underground utilities, pipes, cables, or infrastructure not identified prior to work
• Concealed root systems, buried debris, or unstable subsurface soil conditions
• Pre-existing cracks, structural weakness, or deterioration in driveways, sidewalks, fences, retaining walls, or foundations

Equipment and Lawn Impact

Heavy equipment operations may cause minor lawn impressions, surface disturbances, or temporary markings on driveways and turf areas, particularly during wet, soft, or thawed ground conditions. We use ground protection mats on every applicable job to minimize impact. Minor surface disturbances from equipment operation are not considered property damage and are not subject to claim.

Weather and Natural Events

We are not responsible for delays, rescheduling, or any damages caused by weather events, acts of nature, power outages, road closures, storms, flooding, high winds, ice events, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Limitation of Liability

Branch Specialists provides 24/7 emergency tree service response for active hazards across all Western New York service areas. Emergency services are available for:

• Fallen trees blocking driveways, roads, or structures
• Storm-damaged trees with hanging or suspended limbs
• Trees leaning dangerously toward homes, vehicles, or utility lines
• Uprooted trees with exposed root plates creating structural hazard
• Active limb failure posing immediate risk to occupants or neighbors
• Emergency debris cleanup following severe weather events

Emergency response availability may vary based on current weather conditions, active call volume, road accessibility, and crew availability. Emergency dispatch is prioritized by severity of hazard.

Customer satisfaction is central to how Branch Specialists operates. If you have a concern about completed work, we ask that you contact us directly within 7 days of project completion so we can properly review the matter.

We will make reasonable efforts to assess all concerns and work toward a fair and timely resolution. Concerns submitted after 30 days of project completion may not be eligible for remediation review. We do not offer refunds for completed work where services were performed as quoted and described.

• Use this website for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose

If a dispute arises regarding services provided by Branch Specialists, both parties agree to first make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter through direct written communication within 30 days of the dispute arising. If direct resolution is not achieved within that period:

• Both parties agree to attempt resolution through non-binding mediation conducted by a mutually agreed-upon mediator in Erie County, New York, before pursuing litigation.
• If mediation fails, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration or legal proceedings in Erie County, New York, in accordance with applicable New York State law.
• Each party shall bear its own legal fees and costs unless a court of competent jurisdiction determines otherwise.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be deemed severed from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms and Conditions, together with any written service estimates, contracts, or agreements executed between Branch Specialists and the customer, constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter herein and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, whether oral or written.
